Each SMART™ Device is custom made and available through trained SMART Providers. Our research has verified weight loss in individuals with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 27 to 35 in good oral health. If a patient is outside that range and feels a tool to slow eating will the patient meet their weight loss goals, the patient is not precluded from using SMART.

If SMART™ is an appropriate weight loss solution for the patient, a SMART Provider* will take a simple impression of the patient’s palate using a special single-use kit. This impression is then sent to Scientific Intake to make the custom SMART Device. The whole process can be completed in 10 – 15 minutes.
